NEW YORK – On the eve of Earth Day, furniture rental company ZZ Driggs has released its inaugural impact report which reveals the company’s impact on building more equitable and localized supply chains.
As the only Certified B-Corporation in the furniture rental industry, the company works to develop consistent revenue streams for the designers, makers, woodworkers and restorers that it partners with to support their economic and social wellbeing.
The company has also designed and implemented a quarterly carbon audit to access its emissions with reduction targets being set for each department.
Furniture offerings from ZZ Driggs are central to its core mission and long-term product strategy. It offers independently designed, ethically produced and heirloom quality furniture, both contemporary and collectible, that’s available to rent, buy or both.
All the company’s logistics and warehouse employees participate in its responsible waste management program and use a combination of reusable Velcro straps, blankets and other items so its rental deliveries are 100% zero waste.
In addition to recycling, the company recently partnered with Terracycle to implement specialized bins at its warehouse for materials that cannot be recycled. Terracycle can reuse and repurpose those traditionally non-recyclable materials, which diverts additional trash from landfills.
