LARGO, Fla. — Wendover Art Group has acquired Lowcountry Originals, a domestic artisanal lighting manufacturer based in Bluffton, S.C., for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition includes The Light Post Boutique, a lighting showroom in Bluffton and home to Lowcountry Originals. The lighting boutique will expand under the umbrella of Wendover Art Group, Wendover said in a release.
Becky Brackett, founder of Lowcountry Originals, will continue to lead in the design, development and expansion of the products. Lowcountry Originals has been serving the luxury lighting market since 2009 with lighting and home decor products that are made-to-order and customizable.
“[Wendover CEO] Richard Forsyth and his experienced team are a perfect match to take Lowcountry Originals to the next level of luxury in the design, commercial and hospitality industries,” said Brackett. “The high-quality manufacturing process, aesthetic and long-term success is what attracted me to Wendover. The passion, energy, and quality of this company is fascinating. I am thrilled to have Lowcountry Originals be part of that new vision of artisan lighting and art together.”
