Rug company Delos sees uptick in sales

Delos rug company has launched new trend-forward patterns for the design community.

CALHOUN, Ga. – Rug company Delos has seen a significant uptick in sales after doubling its manufacturing capacity. The company recently purchased used equipment from Masland’s U.S. custom area rug department.

Sales are also up for the company that manufactures all of its rugs in the U.S., from new customers who don’t want to wait for long overseas shipping times and higher delivery costs from imported rugs, according to the company.

Delos is also launching new trend-forward patterns for the design community. The company has partnered with designers to execute their visions as the start of a custom creative process. The soft launch of this new initiative has gone well, according to Delos.

“We make every effort to listen to our customers, and it is the customer that has pushed for quicker turns and more on-trend options,” said Leah Phillips, Delos, Inc. co-owner. “With the expanded equipment and launch of these new designs, Delos will be better positioned to serve market demand.”

The creative options span from cut pile with or without carving, to full loop constructions and a mix of cut and loop. Custom rug sizes are also available with the company offering any shape or size up to 13’6”x60’ or 15’6”x40’ without seaming for American Made rugs and up to 10’x12’ for Journey Made options.

The process works by having the designer choose a pattern and recolor it to suit their project. The color offering includes a choice of 144 colors in 100% New Zealand wool or 144 colors in Econyl 100% regenerated nylon, which is known for its ability to perform for the price and is stain-, bleach-, and wear-resistant.

Delos also tufts with New Zealand wool because it dyes brilliantly, and its lengthier staple results in less shedding. The wool is hypoallergenic, inherently flame-retardant, and filters harmful VOCs such as formaldehyde. Wool effectively manages moisture and humidity, thereby providing a healthier living environment.
