Room & Board’s first Texas store is located in Dallas.

MINNEAPOLIS — Top 100 retailer Room & Board’s second Austin, Texas, location is set to open on Feb. 11.

Located at 3200 Palm Way, Suite 170 in Domain Northside, the 12,000-square-foot space will feature a balance of room settings, home décor items and a design center offering inspired, personalized design experiences as well as space for Room & Board Business Interiors, which provides full-service solutions for businesses and design/build industry professionals. The showroom will include an open layout with windows to let in natural light to highlight the brand’s artisan-crafted furnishings and home décor.

The Austin location will have seven non-commissioned design associates and a retail market manager to serve its customers’ needs. Free design services are available for any project of any size or budget, including virtual video design appointments that meet customers where they are most comfortable.

“We know our Austin store will be well-received because the people here share our passion for environmental responsibility, sustainability, timeless design and home décor,” said Jessica Harrison, Room & Board retail market manager-Austin. “This is a vibrant, stimulating city with a thriving economy. We are here to stay; Austin is our new home.”

Harrison said the Austin showroom supports Room & Board’s growth strategy to expand into markets where its customer base is strong, as well as introducing the brand to a new population of customers who value modern, American-made home furnishings. Serving more than 7,700 existing customers, the Austin location will be the company’s 21st storefront and second Texas store.

More than 90% of Room & Board’s furniture and décor is made by American craftspeople — many from small, family owned businesses —creating jobs and providing vital support for local workers, communities and economies.

In celebration of Austin Parks Foundation’s 30th anniversary Room & Board will donate $30,000 to the organization supporting their work to enhance people’s lives by improving public parks, trails and green spaces through volunteerism, innovative programming, advocacy and financial support.

“Room & Board is a place of inspiration and fulfillment,” said Harrison. “We invite Austinites to come browse our showroom to experience the best of modern design and find inspiration for their own spaces that will help them create a home they’ll love.”
