RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. — Top 100 retailer Living Spaces plans to set up shop in the greater Kansas City metro, according to reports from the Shawnee Mission Post.

The community news website reported that the Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.-based retailer is opening in a former Kohl’s at 12381 W. 95th St., just off Interstate 35 in Lenexa, Kan. The space will include a furniture showroom, small café with prepackaged meals and beer and wine, a children’s room for entertainment, a receiving/storage area and small kitchen.

The Lenexa Planning Commission voted 6-0 to approve the plan for the project, but the report notes that Living Spaces is still awaiting final city approval before any renovations can begin.

Furniture Today has reached out to Living Spaces for confirmation but has not received a response.

Living Spaces ranks No. 21 in Furniture Today’s 2021 Top 100 with $552 million in sales across 27 stores in 2020.
