Kevin O’Brien Studio will open a showroom for designers in Philadelphia next month.

In April, handmade textiles and home fashions design house Kevin O’Brien Studio will open a new, permanent showroom in the prestigious Philadelphia Design District – its first location dedicated specifically to designers and decorators.

Located at 33 N. 3rd Street, it’s only 20 blocks from its headquarters on South Broad Street in Philadelphia, and which includes the company’s studio, manufacturing, dyeing, printing and cutting and sewing operations.

“Philadelphia is the fifth largest metropolitan area in the U.S., and home to one of the industry’s most elite communities of designers and decorators,” says Kevin O’Brien, founder. “Our business is perfectly suited to serving designers, decorators and their clients in our region and beyond.”

The 4,000-square-foot showroom will be stocked with KOBS’ vast port-folio of luxury bedding, throw pillows, fabrics by the yard and upholstered furniture as well as samples of its mosaic tiles with licensee New Ravenna.

“Many of our products are handcrafted here by our in-house team of artisans, and we are experts at customizing for special orders,” says Angela Vosburgh, creative director, KOBS. Our presence in the Philadelphia Design District is yet another way we are supporting designers, decorators and their clients with our unmatched expertise in textiles and design.”

KOBS is sharing the showroom with area rug source Parisa Rugs & Decor.

A grand-opening celebration will be held April 15, by invitation only.

The company will also showcase its handknotted rugs at High Point Market this week, in the Jaipur Living showroom in Showplace.
