Milwaukee, WI – Chasing Paper has partnered with Portland, Oregon-based interior designer Max Humphrey on a wallpaper and flooring collection.

The Chasing Paper x Max Humphrey collection features prints influenced by classic Americana motifs, updated with a modern perspective. Humphrey’s design perspective is shaped by nostalgic memories of a vintage-influenced New England childhood home and filtered through a lens of his current home in the Pacific Northwest.

“You might look at the collection and ask yourself if these wallpapers are supposed to be used in a kids room or in a grown-up’s room? Or at a summer camp or in a formal dining room in the city? And the answer is yes!” Humphrey said.

The Chasing Paper x Max Humphrey collection will feature the following 11 wallpaper prints in multiple colorways:

  • Big Gingham in Black/White, Blue, Grey and Pink
  • Cowboy Toile in Black/White, Grey and Multi
  • Denim Flower in Dark Wash and Light Wash
  • Dot Dash in Blue, Olive, Plum and White on Blue
  • Falcon in Black, Grey and Moody Blue
  • Floral Stripe in Blue, Dusty Pink, Marigold, Olive and Grey on White
  • Horseshoe in Charcoal, Grey and White
  • Jean Jacket in Light Wash/Dark Wash, Light Wash/Pink and Light Wash/White
  • Pacific Northwest in Green
  • Patchwork in Khaki and Navy
  • Poison Ivy in White

The collection will be available in both Chasing Paper’s signature peel-and-stick wallpaper, starting at $45 per panel, available in three sizes; as well as traditional wallpaper, starting at $90 per panel, available in two sizes.

The flooring prints for this collection will feature two familiar, yet reimagined patterns: Marble and Hexagon in Black and Teal. Flooring is priced at $50 per 2 x 4 foot panel or per 8-pack of 12 x 12 inch tiles.

”I was a longtime fan of Max – mostly because there was something about his design that I felt a deep kinship to. He doesn’t take himself too seriously, but still produces highly thoughtful design and has a point of view that is completely his own. We had been Instagram friends and the collection came together so organically,” said Chasing Paper’s co-founder, Elizabeth Rees. “Watching Max work was such an incredible creative process; I learned so much! He is incredibly deliberate and hands-on, and I believe this collection reflects that. Each print, shot, detail is Max, and we are so excited to share it with the world!”

“I’m a Chasing Paper super-fan and use their papers in all of my design projects as well as in my own home. Elizabeth and I literally DM’d each other on Instagram at the exact same time about collaborating,” said Humphrey. “The process of working on a collection together was dreamy and getting to spend time in the great state of Wisconsin for design meetings to shoot the photography assets was a real highlight.”
