HIGH POINT – The Bienenstock Furniture Library has added home furnishings industry veteran Patti Carpenter, principal of Carpenter + Company and Trendscope, to its board of directors for a two-year term.
Carpenter is a New York-based consumer trends expert who will help to develop the annual Student Design Summit, a library initiative that was launched this year. Carpenter was a keynote speaker at the inaugural event in September.
“The Bienenstock Furniture Library Board of Directors finds purpose in serving the future needs of the home furnishings industry,” said Karla Jones, executive director. “We’re excited for Patti to bring her experience, industry connections and personal commitment to help launch the next generation of design professionals.”
Erica Crawford, editorial assistant for Furniture Today, is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa, with a degree in English and a writing certificate in publishing. In addition to bringing her writing talent to the editorial team, Erica will add her late-Millennial perspective.
