PICO RIVERA, Calif. — Full-service home furnishings supplier AICO has promoted two executives within the company. David Koehler has been promoted to executive vice president following the retirement of Chuck Reilly, and Jeff Santanello has been promoted to vice president of sales to fill Koehler’s previous role.

In his new position, Koehler will now be responsible for strategic planning and business development. His transition to his new EVP position is part of a long-planned succession strategy by the company.

Santanello succeeds Koehler as vice president of sales. In his more than two decades within the company, Santanello has worn many hats including executive positions overseeing sales and customer service, supply chain management and internal purchasing.

The company is also making several promotions at the mid-management level to continue its efforts to develop strong management teams.

“The strength of our leadership team positions us well for our next phase of growth,” said Michael Amini, AICO chief designer, founder and CEO. “Our focus continues to be on aligning talent, expertise and capabilities around our business and taking deliberate actions to strengthen our company and deliver value and quality products to those we serve.”

“David and Jeff are proven leaders, and I am thrilled to see them both continue to broaden their impact at AICO. With this new role, David will have the opportunity to bring his strong business acumen, along with his passion for our people and nurturing talent, to the entire organization,” said Martin Ploy, president, adding, “I could not be more excited to see David passing the sales baton to Jeff.  Jeff’s insight, energy and deep industry expertise makes him the ideal choice to help us navigate our sales strategies as our business continues to evolve and grow.”
