HIGH POINT — WithIt, the women’s leadership development network for the home and furnishings industries, has opened nominations for mentoring for its 2023 Special Mentoring Edition of the WOW Awards.
The 2023 WOW Awards Special Mentoring Edition, honoring 10 individuals and companies, both mentors and mentoring programs, is set for April 21 during the spring High Point Market.
“Mentoring is one of the cornerstones of WithIt’s mission, and honoring great mentors and mentoring programs within companies helps to build women and the human capital in our industry,” said Emily Boyst, 2023 WithIt president and senior director of licensing and special projects for Hooker Furnishings.
Boyst noted that Withit is focusing its awards on mentors this year and plans to return to a full slate of awards in January 2024.
Nominations are being accepted for the Mentoring Award through Jan. 31. The online submission form is available on the WithIt website.
“By focusing solely on mentoring, we are hoping to be able to honor women, men and companies in the industry who are making an impact,” said Amy Van Dorp, WithIt’s executive director. “The WOW Awards have already honored 20 individuals and companies for mentoring, but there are always so many deserving nominees.”
The WithIt WOW Awards Program began in 1999 and has honored more than 100 finalists and numerous nominees over the past 25 years.
