NEW YORK — MoMA Design Store, the retail branch of Manhattan’s modern art museum, has unveiled its spring/summer 2022 collection which contains lots of colorful and innovative additions for the home.

Here are a few new home décor pieces that caught our eye:

MoMA Thierry Table

Kartell Thierry Side Tables: These Italian-made side tables are designed by Piero Lissoni and named after Thierry Hermes, founder of the French luxury brand Hermes. The jewel-like tables, which come in either a blue circular shape or a Bordeaux-colored square, have a black-painted tempered glass top on a painted steel pedestal. They retail for $850 apiece.

Nanoleaf Lines Smart Interactive Lighting Kit: This set of 12 interactive light bars, a MoMA exclusive, responds to music, your voice, gaming screens and more with backlit bars that provide ambient light. There are 19 pre-loaded scenes in the Nanoleaf app, as well as other light modes such as “reading,” “warm light” and “daylight.” They can be mounted on a wall in any configuration you want.

Omar Raawii Carafe

Omar/Raawii vases and bowls: This collection is the result of a long-standing friendship between Nicholai Wiig-Hansen, creative director of Raawii, and Omar Sosa, graphic designer and publisher of Apartmento magazine. The collection of glazed earthenware vessels come in a range of harmonious colors and is designed to be used in a variety of ways.

Modulo Garden Kit

Modulo Wall Indoor Garden Kit: This vertical garden is composed of a beech wood frame from sustainable forests in France, an integrated LED smart grow light bar and four plant pods (basil, lemon basil, chives and leaf mustard.) The pot doubles as a water tank and provides automatic watering and oxygenation for roots. Modulo can stand on a tabletop with its metal feet or be wall-mounted, and can be controlled by a dedicated app.

MOVA’s Rotating Moon Globe

MOVA Rotating Moon and Earth Globes with Crystal Base: Using high-resolution images from NASA satellites, these desktop globes display the surfaces of the Earth or moon with clarity and realism. Each globe rotates inside a clear sphere on a crystal base through the use of hidden magnets and ambient light.
