With less than two weeks to go before Christmas, Sullivans has unpacked an enormous sack of goodies for next year, including 1,250 new products, 13 themes and the launch of seasonal lighting in its Woodstock chimes division.

“2023 is a banner year for Sullivans, as we’ll celebrate 55 years in business,” said CEO Tom Russo. “As we acknowledge Sullivans’ broad history, we celebrate with a seasonal launch including over 1,200 new products and some exciting new developments in the holiday lighting and scented candle categories.”

The 2023 Holiday Collection, which officially launched Dec. 12 will be exhibited at shows in Dallas, Atlanta and Las Vegas next month. The collection includes containers, candles, wall décor, greenery, faux foliage, Christmas ornaments, textiles, novelty lighting and accessories. In the company’s virtual market online, each theme —ranging from “Foraged Fall” to “Gilded Elegance” to “Good Tidings” — is explained through a color palette, a range of materials and a particular style.

Good Tidings, for example, is imbued with an “elegant, modern, fresh” style in a green, butterscotch, white and gold palette and a mix of glass, metal and ceramic. Products in this grouping include ornaments, lighting, tabletop, novelty and mixed pine.

Sullivans 55 is a theme that pays tribute to the company’s anniversary with a lot of embellishment and glitz.

The company has also expanded its Woodstock Elements division of outdoor and garden items to include seasonal lighting, with products ranging from lighted oversized ornaments and deer, to yard stakes in various holiday themes.

Current outdoor trends include wind chimes, planters, pots, lanterns and lighting, the company said, citing its annual consumer survey. The survey also found that since 2020, 59% of participants have increased usage of their outdoor space, to improve their space (27%), cope with COVID (22%), because they are at home more (18%), because they simply want to enjoy their outdoor space more (14%), or for entertaining (7%), gardening (6%) and kids (5%).

Sullivans’ new seasonal offerings also include new scented candles from Vance Kitira, new home fragrances featuring wax melts and scent charms from Candle Impressions, and a line of Impressionistic artwork from the Darren Gygi Home Collection.

“Our Vance Kitira candles have long been a crowd favorite,” said Tawni Buhler, director of marketing at Sullivans. “This new release is particularly noteworthy because we’ve competitively entered the scented-candle category with a luxury candle at an accessible price point.”
