See the 2 new categories debuting in Atlanta in January

Atlanta Market is making some changes just in time for the Winter 2023 season. Along with the addition of two new categories, the market will feature a complete reorganization of its more than 1,100 temporary exhibits across 39 categories and 10 exhibit halls.

The reshuffling of the exhibits marks an effort to optimize the shopability of the market. By moving exhibits around, International Market Center can better categorize them in conjunction with the hundreds of available showrooms.

“The expansive nature of the Atlanta Market temporary exhibits is simultaneously exhilarating and daunting,” said Scott Eckman, IMC executive vice president and chief revenue officer. “Updating category locations and layouts make our extensive offerings even easier to shop and navigate to encourage exploration.”

Some of the notable moves include:

  • Fine Linens & Home Textiles and Home Accents & Home Furnishings will relocate to Floor 8 of Building 1. This move puts the temporary exhibits directly below the six floors of home showrooms to offer a more comprehensive collection of all things home.
  • The Cash & Carry Jewelry and Cash & Carry LUXE categories will shift to Floor 3 of Building 2, offering a more direct connection to the trade show hall in Building 3 that features fashion accessories.
  • The expansion of GC Buying Group’s GCX Expo has led to it finding a new home on Floor 4 of Building 2, allowing the showcase of nearly 100 top gourmet foods and tool brands to offer more to members.

New categories to debut

In addition to all of the moving around, Atlanta Market will also continue to highlight high-end products with the addition of two new luxury categories: LUXE and General Gift LUXE.

LUXE is a collection of high-end artisan handmade, global and museum goods, while General Gift LUXE will focus on providing high-end items in smaller categories such as stationery, pet products and collegiate merchandise.

Also appearing for the first time at Winter Market will be Boutique LUXE for accessories and apparel and Cash & Carry LUXE for jewelry and accessories available for immediate delivery.

“Atlanta Market’s luxury offerings are a differentiator,” Eckman said. “LUXE and General Gift LUXE round out our high-end offerings allow us to offer a full-spectrum of product to discerning retailers.”

Atlanta Market temporaries will be open Jan. 10 – Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Jan. 15 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A full list of exhibitors can be found online.
