ANDERSON, S.C. — American-made rug and yarn manufacturer Orian Rugs has promoted four key employees to support the company’s anticipated growth.
Scott Miller, who was previously Orian’s director of design, has been promoted to the position of vice president of product development and marketing where he will be responsible for the design and creation of all Orian rug product.
Dave Matamoros, a 35-year veteran of the carpet and rug industry who has served as Orian’s senior vice president of rug sales since 2017, has been named executive vice president of rug sales for Orian. He will have rug sales responsibilities for national accounts, e-commerce and specialty rug categories.
Julie Weaver, who has been with Orian since 2014 serving in various capacities, has been named marketing manager for Orian Rugs. She will be executing strategic marketing plans, planning promotional activity and developing social media influencer program campaigns.
Jon Matamoros, who started at Orian in 2018 as a territory manager for the Northeast U.S. region working out of Philadelphia, has been named as sales manager for the East Coast.
Additionally, Orian Rugs has partnered with industry veteran Aline Finkelstein to call on specific strategic accounts.
Erica Crawford, editorial assistant for Furniture Today, is a recent graduate of the University of Iowa, with a degree in English and a writing certificate in publishing. In addition to bringing her writing talent to the editorial team, Erica will add her late-Millennial perspective.
