SAN FRANCISCO — Williams-Sonoma Inc. has named Day Kornbluth president of the company’s Brooklyn-based West Elm brand, effective April 3. Kornbluth most recently served as global brand president at Ralph Lauren Home.

Williams-Sonoma is bringing Kornbluth on board to help expand West Elm’s brand reach while strengthening the brand’s core values of bringing inspiring and sustainable product design at a great value to customers, according to the company. Kornbluth will report to Williams-Sonoma President and CEO Laura Alber.

“Day’s proven track-record and previous success growing home furnishing brands make her the ideal candidate to run the West Elm brand,” said Alber.

Kornbluth is replacing Alex Bellos, who left the company in September 2022 to pursue positions at Food 52, Schoolhouse and Dansk. Schoolhouse and Dansk were acquired earlier this year by Food 52.

Prior to her work at Ralph Lauren Home, Kornbluth was chief digital officer at RH (Restoration Hardware) from 2016 to 2018 and merchandising leadership roles at One Kings Lane from 2012 to 2016.
