HIGH POINT — A number of retailers were chosen by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group as  “America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity” due to ongoing efforts in inclusion and diversity.

For this award, Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group conducted a large-scale employer study based on more than 350,000 company reviews.

“With the word ‘diversity’ attracting so much attention from companies it can be tough for job applicants, customers, and potential business partners to tell who is serious about supporting a diverse workforce,” said Nancy Cooper, global editor in chief at Newsweek. “We’re proud to share this list to help our readers determine which companies are truly committed to diversity.”

Among the award-winners, several furniture retailers were honored, including At Home, Badcock Home Furniture &more, Bob’s Discount Furniture, HOM Furniture, Jordan’s Furniture, Rent-A-Center, Wayfair and Williams-Sonoma, Inc.

“We are so proud to be a company that serves a diverse range of communities and also hires, develops and promotes people from all backgrounds,” said Pat Davies, chief human resources officer at Bob’s Discount Furniture. “Our team is committed to creating and maintaining a culture where employees feel valued, customers want to shop and where are community partners feel supported.”
