HPMA names 6 new board members for 2023

HIGH POINT — The High Point Market Authority has updated its board of directors, effective Jan. 1, 2023.

Six incoming board members will serve a two-year term ending in December 2024, including Patti Carpenter, principal, Carpenter + Co./Trendscope; Neil MacKenzie, vice president of marketing, Universal Furniture; Griffin McClure, president, Green and McClure Furniture; Blake Millinor, CEO, Valdese Weavers; Joni Vanderslice, president, J Banks Design; and Taylor West, president, West Design Group.

Rotating off the board at the end of this calendar year are Lee Boone, Josh Hudson, Karen Olson and Randy Tillinski, who have been in place since January 2021.

The board updates were announced at the most recent HPMA board meeting during the fall 2022 market.

Alex Shuford, III, CEO of Rock House Farm Family of Brands and Century Furniture, continues serving as president on the board’s executive committee, and Christi Barbour, founder of Barbour Spangle Design, as vice president, through 2023.
