HomeGoods is showcasing its furnishings at a rental home in New York’s Hudson Valley.
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — For anyone who has ever fantasized about spending a night in a HomeGoods store, this offer from the off-price home décor retailer might be the next best thing.
HomeGoods is taking its treasure hunt retail experience into the rental market with a weekend getaway home furnished with furniture and accessories from its ever-changing lineup.
The vacation home in New York’s Hudson Valley, dubbed “House of HomeGoods” and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis, goes for just $29.99 a night and is available for four weekends in October and November.
The two-bedroom property is being outfitted with pieces that span the breadth and depth of furniture and décor typically offered at HomeGoods, including chairs, tables, lamps, rugs, mirrors and textiles.
The first iteration available Oct. 21-23, called Find Creativity, is described as a “boldly colorful oasis.” Subsequent rentals on the weekends of Oct. 28, Nov. 4 and Nov. 11 will be themed Find Festivity, featuring the crisp colors of autumn; Find Adventure, a “nature-inspired haven” with warm patterns and textures; and Find Charm, with design treatments “like a rural European town.”
Along with the rental, HomeGoods said it is pairing the stay with an at-home activity to complement the experience while also allowing guests to take home a few products to decorate their own space.
Renters will receive a custom suitcase that they can pack with seasonal finds or decorative items up to a value of $599. A selection of similar merchandise is being featured on HomeGoods’ website.
“We’re excited to offer consumers this bookable getaway that transforms with each stay to create a truly unique experience for guests, just like shopping at HomeGoods,” said Sarah Ajamian, manager of marketing.
