Gardner-White’s Rachel Stewart talks about the company’s new Saginaw, Mich. location on Good Morning Mid Michigan

SAGINAW, Mich. – Top 100 Gardner-White is continuing to expand its Michigan footprint with the opening of its newest store here in Saginaw. The new 75,000-square-foot site is a former Art Van location and includes a bedding gallery and clearance center.

Speaking to local ABC affiliate 12 News, Gardner-White President Rachel Stewart said the new site extends the company’s reach beyond its Detroit roots and into mid-Michigan, while also facilitating same-day delivery from the company’s Auburn Hills headquarters and main warehouse.

“Saginaw is a great and growing market,” Stewart told the station. “We think same-day delivery is really important and this will allow us to deliver on that promise.”

She noted that the store includes a bedding gallery, clearance center and design studio with such high end brands as Bernhardt and Century. The clearance center, she explained, includes both design samples as well as promotional product bought specifically for sale via the clearance center.

The company will be hiring additional staff for the store and Stewart pointed out that Gardner-White was recently named a Best Place to Work in the Furniture Industry by Furniture Today. “We’re very proud of that,” she said. “We try to treat our associates like family.”
