New York — Home and gift show Shoppe Object exceeded expectations with a larger footprint, bigger brand count, sold-out floor and record-breaking attendance for the three-day event that closed Feb. 7.

Held on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, the show hosted attendees from 38 countries and all 50 states.

“We had two clear objectives for this market,” said Jesse James, Shoppe Object’s founder and show director. “To fill the new pavilion without sacrificing an ounce of quality and to attract new buyers at a rate that outpaced the expansion.”

The number of attendees was up 35% increase over Shoppe Object’s August edition,  its largest-ever audience, which included a number of national retail chains, such as Crate & Barrel, Design Within Reach, Pottery Barn, West Elm and Williams-Sonoma, along with department stores, museum stores, and a number of catalog and online retailers.

Among the brands offered at the show, home brands represented 45% of the roster, accessories 30% and gift 25%.

The Shoppe Object brand will expand to High Point Market starting in October 2023, and the next New York edition of Shoppe Object will return to the Riverside and Cityside Pavilions at Pier 36 on Aug. 13-15.
