EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – In honor of fashion icon Iris Apfel’s 100th birthday this year, retail center American Dream introduced a new pop-up shop in her honor.

The shop offers a selection of home décor, including limited-edition sculptures, dinnerware and tea sets with the same bold and eclectic designs that made Apfel famous.

Earlier this week, Apfel stopped by to check out the new pop-up shop, which is the first of its kind at American Dream. While there, she dined at nearby Carpaccio and browsed the luxury shopping portfolio.

Along with her husband Carl, Apfel founded the Old World Weavers textile business and won international fame for her collections of print garments and costume jewelry.

Later in life, she updated and redesigned parts of the White House for presidents Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan and Clinton.
