San Francisco – Pottery Barn has partnered with three interior designers who are members of BADG (The Black Artists + Designers Guild) on a collection that celebrates hosting and entertaining.

BADG is a global organization dedicated to building a more equitable and inclusive creative culture through the advancement of independent Black makers. The collaboration with Pottery Barn’s design team resulted in 25 pieces created to represent the concept of Black Joy. It includes decorative accessories, bedding, pillows, throws, dinnerware, drinkware, barware, table linens, and games. The collection ranges in price from $29.50 to $249.

The BADG designers in the project included Penny Francis and Casi St. Julian of the New Orleans-based interior design firm Eclectic Home and color enthusiast Lisa Turner of the Beverly Hills-based design firm Interior Obsession. Francis specializes in one-of-a-kind pieces that make a statement. St. Julian designs dynamically layered spaces with personality. Turner is known for mixing color and architecture.

“The pieces within the collection, designed in partnership with BADG, illustrate a shared love of creating meaningful spaces, vibrant in color and joy, that I am excited for our customers to enjoy in their own homes,” said Marta Benson, Pottery Barn president.

The collaboration between Pottery Barn and BADG is reflective of a larger commitment across parent company Williams-Sonoma Inc. to increase Black representation among associates, vendors, partners and collaborators as well as a commitment to prioritizing progress toward racial justice and equity through action-based initiatives, the company said.

The BADG x Pottery Barn collection launched on potterybarn.com.

BADG founder Malene Barnett said, “This partnership with Pottery Barn builds on our mission to honor ancestral legacies while embracing liberatory creative practices. We love creating spaces to celebrate Black culture in design, and our collection invites everyone to celebrate with us.”
