DALLAS – The American Lighting Association will tackle topics ranging from digital marketing tips to new lighting technology in its virtual lighting symposium that starts today.

The free program, which runs Nov. 1-4, is sponsored by ALA member companies.

It kicks off at 1 p.m. (CDT) today with Corey Perlman, owner of Impact Social Inc., who will present Digital Marketing Masterclass and talk about how to discover digital footprint holes that may be sabotaging sales and pushing prospects to the competition.

Immediately following that session will be a panel of industry executives who will discuss successes and lessons learned from the pandemic and its effect on business, as well as plans for what comes next.

Other symposium topics include digital marketing to outpace competition, positive business strategies, lighting designer insights, new lighting technology, management strategies to boost tech productivity, and changes in residential architecture. A full list of session topics and speakers is available here.

Also today is an ALA Women in Lighting special presentation featuring professional speaker, comedian, and author Christina Irene who talks about how to eliminate internal barriers. This event includes networking breakout sessions and prizes donated by ALA-member manufacturers.

Although the symposium is free, attendees must register to receive Zoom links and access to the post-session recordings to view any missed presentations.
